Ok, here's my deal: I fairly recently moved to IL from VA and really want to meet some new people. Would like to meet a fun guy that I'd enjoy spending my time with and hoping it would evolve into something more in time. The Heavy: During the day, I'm the Environmental Director for my organization, with an education in environmental and civil engineering. In addition, one weekend a month I drill as a Captain in the Air Force Reserves specializing in bioenvironmental engineering (industrial hygiene). Lighter Side: When I'm not working, I love doing cross fit, salsa dancing, cooking, dining out/listening to live bands, dining in watching movies, or just sleeping in and reading the news (warning: this usually prompts a political debate as I work for DOD and have some very specific views about our fearless leaders, but I digress). I LOVE to laugh - it's a rare thing if I'm not smiling or laughing over something! I also love trying new things to broaden my horizons and grow as a person. My most recent challenge for myself is to develop my appreciation for red wine (I prefer the sweeter white wines) so I'm planning to attend a few local tastings soon... then I'll reward myself with a trip to Napa Valley once I know I'll appreciate it!! Wanna come? I'm happily divorced (and have been for several years) and my teens (who are btw on honor roll, athletes, and all around awesome boys) live with me. My mom keeps them in the summer so I tend to travel more extensively during that time. My twins are 13 and my youngest is 12. I should also mention that I don't subscribe to the date me date my kids mentality, it has to be very serious before I'd ever involve them.
