A young 33-year-old man with a whole lot to learn, but glad to have learned what he knows. What might that be? That he simply wants to be perfect, and that not being perfect, in the Biblical sense, is not even an option, as far as he is concerned.

Think about a clock. In fact, imagine a clock with a dead battery. You look at it, expecting to know what time it is, and you see the same old inaccurate time you saw last time you looked. No life! And yet you keep looking at it, forgetting, temporarily, that there is no point in looking at it. That is what I call a "not perfect" clock. And, folks, that is what I do not want to be as a "Christian", or believer in Jesus Christ.

I want people to look at me and see life. See the correct time. I want them to see Jesus Christ - as accurately as possible. In fact, more accurately today than yesterday, and more accurately tomorrow than today. I want God to be glorified as I either sin not (much more preferable), or come clean when I sin (which sadly does still happen).

So, yes, I think it is both possible (through Christ) and imperative to be perfect even though I do still sin, which I should not, and resolve not to.
