I'm youthful, open-minded, enthusiastic, affectionate, down-to-earth, street- and book-smart, and health- and fitness-oriented. 5'11 and 170, I'm divorced and childless. Raised in Queens, I've been lucky to live as an adult in Nairobi, San Diego, Honolulu, DC, Dallas and Alabama. Living in all those places taught me a lot, widened my horizons, and made me more radical (in a good sense) (based on lots of facts I learned about the economic system we live under). I used to be a published poet and short story writer. Now I'm a beginning filmmaker. I haven't made it as a filmmaker yet, so I still work one kind of day job or other (presently I tutor writing privately). Economically I still live like a college or graduate student, working as little as possible to pay my rent and buy the bare essentials and spending most of my time working on my screenplays and on ways to produce my films. I enjoy hiking, the beach and beach walks (year-round), reading, the movies, progressive politics, alternative health, learning new things, and communicating and working on a relationship. And I'm open to trying whatever you like to do. Though I haven't always been ready for or appreciated them, I've had several great long-term relationships, and am looking for one more best friend/lover/companion/study partner to love and be loved by. I know how much work and negotiation/compromise a good relationship takes and I've gotten good at it. Why not meet me for coffee or a drink and a PRESSURE-FREE, GUARANTEED-PLEASANT chat. A walk along the Hudson River from Battery Park to Chambers Street at sunset. A walk along the ocean at Coney Island, Rockaway or Long Beach at sunset. A walk through Central Park. Tea/coffee and a pressure-free chat. I consider first meetings with someone you met online to be a pre-date--better kept short (45 mins/an hour) to reduce pressure and awkwardness and blind aspect of it.

J'ai toujours voulu essayer

Many things: Hiking in the Rockies (American or Canadian); biking or carring up/down the Nortern Pacific Coast (from Northern California through Oregan and Washington). Living on a 100% raw diet of green and other veggies, fruit, nuts, and seeds. Going to sleep and rising at the same time everyday (and sleeping as much as I needed) for a long period of time (maybe for the rest of my life). I've been privileged to live around the world as an adult and as such have been able to try and do a lot of cool stuff already.
