Okay, a little about me. I'm an ex New Yorker who's lived in numerous states (New York, obviously, Missouri and Georgia), but fell in love with the sunshine and weather in Southern California and decided to stay. I love to cook for people, hate to cook for myself, but I do. Nothing better than an ice cold beer, but thoroughly enjoy a 25 year old single malt scotch especially in the winter..and lately I have been learning about and enjoying good wines - I enjoy visiting the wineries in the Santa Barbara/Los Olivos area. Hope to get up to the Napa area soon..

I enjoy sports, had no choice there..my Dad wanted a boy, got another girl, so I grew up being a little tomboy. I am a big Pittsburgh Steeler fan, love watching football on Sundays. I grew up watching and cheering for the New York Mets - still a Met fan. (Once a Met fan, always a Met fan). I love animals- okay, most animals - not a big fan of slimy, slithering things...always had pets growing up (rabbits, guinea pigs, turtles, birds, dogs, cats, fish-). I'm not afraid of bugs and can bait my own fish hook. .My all time favorite movie is Cool Hand Luke... I love thunderstorms and listening to the sound of rain (especially when laying in bed), love the smell of rain and freshly mowed grass, never tire of sunsets, sunrises or sunshine..
Hobbies include wine tasting, gardening, hiking...beach anytime of the year, anytime of the day, any beach, road trips, dinner parties with friends, exercise, reading, movies (home & theater), music, music, music...

I believe in love, commitment and the institution of marriage - my parents are a great example there - they have been married for 54 years. I believe that please and thank you are magic words (thanks Mom). I believe in smiling, a good strong handshake and looking people in the eyes when speaking. I believe in treating people the way I would want to be treated, with respect and good intentions, live by the Golden Rule...I tend to look at that good in people, until they prove otherwise. I wear my heart on my sleeve and don't necessarily think that is a bad thing. I believe in honesty, honesty, honesty, honesty and honesty, integrity and the truth.
I would love to meet and hopefully fall in love with a man who shares my interests or who would introduce me to some of his... a man who will be a friend, a companion, a lover, a man who is honest and trusting, a man who is not afraid to show his feelings, a man who is not afraid to share his dreams, his fantasies and desires, a man who is not afraid of intimacy, a man who will add to my happiness but doesn't define it, a man to share in all the things that life throws our way- the good, the bad and and ugly, a man who when he wraps his around me makes me feel like I am home.
