Those who truly know me would describe me as a man whose family is extremely important to them. I have two beautiful children and they mean everything to me. They would also tell you that I'm very easy to get to know, I cannot stand to argue with someone. Communication is extremely important. Nothing cannot be resolved by just taking to each other and being honest about your feelings.

I've lived a blessed life, for which I am extraordinarily grateful. I'm not going to give everything away here, but I'm a combat veteran, a former police officer (so no one with a drug or alcohol problem need apply thank you), a VP of three different companies and a former TV News Anchor. I am not rich by any means but I'm very comfortable. I apologize in advance but no gold diggers need apply either. You will not find what you're seeking here.

I am very happy with my life and I don't create nor want drama. We all have a past and it should stay there. I'm a good man who knows how to treat a woman with respect,dignity and certainly as my equal. I would prefer to meet a woman who lives within 100 miles from me (okay, maybe 120 miles if she's "The One". I don't think long distance relationships work very well.

I'm not a player, however some women immediately jump to that wrong conclusion just by looking at me. Actually I'm a bit shy at first (or cautious at first), but once I get to know you that all changes. I don't hang out in bars (been there, done that.), but I'm not likely to approach a woman there. We guys dislike rejection as much as you do. Having said that, I would need a clear indication of your interest. That being said, my gender also sucks at reading your genders signals. LMAO!

I'm a lover of life and adventure. I like to go for long drives to nowhere and deliberately try to get lost. That's how you meet some interesting people and explore new places. There are plenty of other things I enjoy doing, far too many to put here. But I also love spending a quiet night at home. Speaking of home, I'm a terrible cook!, therefore I don't cook for other people much beyond an omelette or ribs. I'd love to learn but I fear anyone who expects some gourmet meal from me risks salmonella, E Coli or something horrible that'll keep you in the bathroom for hours (if not days). LOL

"The Right Woman" must have a great sense of humor and be willing to laugh at herself (as well as me .... I can take it;-). I don't take anything or myself too seriously. I am however laser focused when I need to be. I love to laugh, make people smile and give as much or more than I receive.

I am accused of being intelligent. I'm not sure if there's any truth to that, but I can put a sentence or two together, that to some might seem coherent. I'm also house trained, so you don't need to worry about me throwing my food or messing up your floors. LMAO

If it's the first date, it will largely depend on what I know about you. Your likes and dislikes and how open you are to trying something new. I've have no problem coming up with memorable dates. It just depends on you. I'm also very spontaneous. I think the first date will begin with going somewhere we can comfortably talk and actually hear each other. I can easily come up with a great first date from there if needed. Hopefully we will at least talk on the phone first for awhile so the date is not the first time we've spoken.

J'ai toujours voulu essayer

I mentioned earlier that I've had an extremely blessed life. I've traveled a good portion of the world but there's SO much more to see. I've done a lot in my life and I am ALWAYS open to trying new things. I just couldn't tell you at the moment what I've always wanted to try that I haven't done already. Please don't take that as an arrogant statement. I just can't come up with anything at the moment:-(
