I'm outgoing and friendly though a little shy. I just moved to NY from California.

My Job
Have been a high school English/Film teacher for 8 years, but working as an assistant to a financial advisor right now while i decide what i want to do next.

my ethnicity:
Born in Canada, still a citizen there. Have lived in the states the vast majority of my life though. Grandparents are Scottish, English, Italian.

my religion:
I'm not into organized religion AT ALL, but think there's something out there - hopefully. Was raised Protestant.

my education:
I went to Scripps College in Claremont, CA for my undergrad and majored in English Literature. Then I did a two year program to earn my teaching credentials in Los Angeles. Researching clinical psychology programs for my MFTT now.

favorite hot spots:
Just moved here from California so I don't have favorite NYC spots yet. Looking for someone to explore with. Though, I do love any spot near the water...and in general...

Favorites?! I hate to decide. But... I especially enjoy: Pizza, the color red, shopping at Guess by Marciano, reading magical realism, watching Law and Order(SVU of course), 1950's jazz Etta, Billie Miles and Flowers, flowers, flowers : )

last read:
Read and loved "Senor Vivo and the Coca Lord" by Louis De Bernieres. Reading "Freakonomics, " "Social Intelligence, " and "Brother I'm Dying" right now. I read all the time - major bookworm. I prefer modern/contemporary fiction and memiors.
