You see, "trying" implies failure and is really a linguistic trick, sort of like a safety valve, "Well, I've tried". People that use "try" all the time are generally scared of something, oftentimes not even knowing what it is they are scared of. A bit silly, but a great imagination, capable of scaring them with images and ideas that would make blockbuster horror movies look like children's stories. But seriously, "The only thing to fear, is fear itself" (Franklin D. Roosevelt, although he is heavily borrowing from Marcus Aurelius here)
