I'm a nice guy looking for the right woman. I'm not in a hurry and I'm not looking for a hookup. I want to get to know somebody well, and for her to know me. No surprises -- at least no bad ones! ... I'll have to have a couple glasses of wine first... The short version would be something like this: To be in a secure, loving, nurturing, 50/50 relationship with the woman of my dreams. To fall more in love with her every day. To be able to travel to wonderful and exciting places, be there for my kids and their (eventual) kids, and to be as good a father and grandfather as my dad has been. To be happy, healthy and fulfilled, and to do things in my later years that I never dreamed I'd be capable of doing, like running a marathon. And to only see snow if and when I want to...

Getting out to work up a sweat. Going somewhere warm when it's cold in Chicago. Going to Vegas and just soaking it all in. Seeing palm trees in person. Mountains. White sand. Landing in Phoenix when it's cold back home. Getting in a car for a road trip. Holding hands. Snuggling with someone special. Kissing. And kissing again. Getting a massage. Giving a massage to someone special. Long, uninterrupted hugs. Looking in the right pair of eyes. Did I say kissing? Running in a 5K race or hiking with my sons in Arizona. Playing with my little grandson in Chicago. Saying something that makes my dad laugh. Enjoying time with good friends. Watching the Cubs (Sox, too), Bears and Bulls win. Going to a Cubs game, just like I did when I was a kid. Enjoying great restaurants in Chicago (or Vegas, or anywhere). Going on a cruise. (OK, I'm still waiting to do that one. Hvad leder du efter?

Lots of things... There has to be a physical attraction. I hope that doesn't sound shallow, but isn't that how nature works? It starts with a great smile. And the eyes. ... I look for intelligence, humor, understanding, support, a great laugh and an underlying sweetness. I'm looking for someone I want to know everything about, lips I want to kiss, a body I want to hold, eyes I want to stare into. You get my drift. We have to be able to hold great conversations, enough that we could do a long road trip and still be holding hands at the end. ;-) I need someone who will read/listen to the "Five Love Languages" and understand what is important to me and why. (I wish I'd read it years ago.) Someone who will understand that I've been hurt and make sure it won't happen again. (No drama queens, no anger issues, no Libras. Sorry, but been there, done that.) I'm looking for a sweet nature that shines through, no matter the situation. Oh, and take my breath away. Is that too much to ask?
