I know that I am a great "significant other".

I am loyal and faithful. I don't believe in playing games. Life is just too short for all that nonsense.

I am a good listener. Having been in journalism for many years, I found that I love to listen to other people tell their life story. All of us have our own story. And I love to hear other people's journey.

I am not judgemental. We all have a past and for most of us it involves some really stupid choices and decisions.I have definately made my share of them. So, who am I to judge any one else for theirs?

I love God and my children. I don't think that really needs any explanation.

I love romance. I am not a hopeless romantic.....but a pinch of it here and there makes life a little more fun, exciting.

I am very laid back. Not too many things really bother me. The few things that do bother me: head games, dishonestly, being used and manipulated. I am here to do God's will and live my life helping - not harming others. I desire the same respect from others.

I love to laugh. Laughter is the best medicine. It makes the day-to-day stressors a little easier to bare. For me, it is definately something I have to have in any relationship.

I am independent and strong. I have had to overcome many things in my life.

Bottom line: I am almost 49 years old. I have had my share of relationships. Since I am single, well, I guess it is apparent that they didn't work out. So, I would like to spend the rest of my days here with someone who I am compatible with.....I am not interested in "settling". I desire to share the love I have inside with someone who wants it. And I desire to have a man share the love he has inside with me. I want to live, laugh and love.

I have several things I haven't done thus far that I am looking forward to doing someday. I have always wanted to spend a weekend in Las Vegas, just to have the experience. I also want to try whitewater rafting. It looks like so much fun!

I can have fun going out on a hike, canoeing, dinner and a movie, going to a play or a concert or various other events. However, I also enjoy quiet evenings at home. I love popping popcorn and piling up in my bed to watch a good movie or show. I think fun is really a state of mind. If I am with someone I enjoy and want to be with, it doesn't really matter what I do.
