Jeg beskriver mig selv som
Yes I'm a geek and I'm an artist, by way of poetry, prose, and short
stories; and by way of deejaying and making music (producing various forms of House, Downtempo, Nu-jazz, and some Hip-hop), but by
no means restricted from other forms of creativity. Yes, like most
geeks, I do happen to be a card carrying Sci-Fi fan; and I am
referring to more of true sci-fi, not the pseudo action genre posing
in a sci-fi costume (though the action genre can be fun at times too).
I am not a bad photographer, hiker, chef, billiards player, and oh,
yes I run the Information Technology operations for a college of
music. Please leave all stereotypes checked at the door, because I do
not usually fit any; and likewise I try not to use them as my viewing
glasses of other people.
A former breakdancer, former comic book creator in both the drawing
and writing aspects, and BMX freestyler (they call it X-games now, the
tricks on a bike both on the ramp and on the ground), I am an eager
mix of techno-logic and art-o-matic. I tend to be more attracted to
what many would consider cutting-edge/underground stuff versus
catching up with the classics (no disrespect). And I certainly do not
care whether everyone else is doing something or buying something,
because very few can identify who 'everyone' is. I am active in a
couple recreational sports leagues, participate in philanthropic fund
raising, some travel, intelligent humor, and general exploring of ones
surroundings.
All this to say, if you are looking for someone who is well rounded, easy going,
then I am your guy. But you have been warned, you might find yourself addicted to a geeky personality. :)
