-I am not your stereotypical black dude.
-I love Hockey. While I also enjoy sports in general, Hockey is the one sport that I live and die for. I plan on learning how to play in the future.
-I love Rock music. My iPod is full of alternative, punk, ska, heavy metal, post-hardcore, screamo, alternative metal, metalcore, grunge, post-grunge, and hard rock.
-I hate Rap music just because I feel it doesn’t represent me as a person. However, if you do like rap, I wouldn’t have a problem with it.
- I’m also in love with 80s music. It just makes me happy for some reason.
- I attend Duke University where I’m on the way to becoming the only black Physics major in my class and quite possibly in the entire school.
- German is my foreign language of choice. Hopefully I can become fluent someday. I hope to study abroad in Berlin one day.
-I am also a hopeless romantic. I know it may seem corny and lame but I’m willing to wait until I find my true love (or she finds me lol). I would try to make each date as unique as possible and hopefully memorable.
-I am loyal to a fault especially to those I consider friends. I couldn’t even imagine how loyal I’d be to someone who was more than a friend.
-At this time I’m a bit overweight but I will try to rectify that once I have the means and opportunity.
-I love to laugh especially at things that I’ve done. I try to see humor in even the most horrible things, usually by being sarcastic. My sense of humor could take some time getting used to but it is also pretty easy to make me laugh.
-I know that there is a stereotype that states that all black guys can dance but I promise you I am not one of them. I amuse myself when I dance just because of how bad it is. My dancing is the butt of many jokes in my family. Even though I can’t dance, I love going to the club. (Weird, right?)
-I also have trouble “spitting game” or “macking.” I’ve never been good at it and I don’t see that changing. On the other hand, practice makes perfect, although I have nobody to try it out on yet.
-I love hugging people, notably my friends and family.
-I wear an Afro 24/7/365 although the length is always varying. I also wear glasses because I want to, even though I have to. In other words, I could get contacts but one day I’ll find a girl who wouldn’t consider them a detriment. I happen to find girls who wear glasses incredibly sexy.
-I like growing out my beard. It’s not to look like a terrorist, it’s because I think I look better with it. (I could be totally wrong though)
-I do the Jumble and the Cryptoquote every day. (Raise your hand if you even know what those are)
-I love to read novels. In the summer I usually go to the library every three weeks to check out new books.
-I have no fashion sense. I couldn’t care less about the newest jeans, t-shirts, shades, sneakers, hats, etc. If this turns you off, I’m truly sorry. (shrugs shoulders)
-I also wear skateboarding shoes even though I’ve never skateboarded in my life. (Just another way to differentiate myself)
-I like being cold. (I’ve been known to wear shorts and a short-sleeve polo in December)
-I don’t smoke and don’t drink and don’t plan on doing so in the future. That doesn’t mean I can’t have a good time. Drinking is okay in my book but smoking cigarettes isn’t.
-I am a genuine nice guy and I always try to do the right thing even if it may be difficult. I know they say nice guys finish last but I'd like to think we win out in the end. I also hate lying to people so I try to do it as little as possible.
-At least on here I don't have to worry about if a girl is willing to date a black guy. Now all I have to worry about is "spitting game" and trying to get a girlfriend.
